A New Look for Reception

At Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland, Northumberland, we've completed a full refurbishment and redesign of our reception and customer waiting area as part of our continued investment in the garage.

The transformation isn't simply about making the reception look better. It's part of a much bigger ambition for Meadowfield Auto Centre: to show that choosing a local independent garage doesn't mean compromising on professionalism, customer service, facilities or standards.

We want the quality of the environment our customers walk into to reflect the same care and attention we expect in our workshop.

That's why we've completely overhauled the reception area at our garage on Meadowfield Industrial Estate in Ponteland, creating a cleaner, brighter and more professional space for customers visiting us for an MOT, service, vehicle repair, tyres or diagnostics.

Changing the traditional image of an independent garage

Garages aren't always known for their customer-facing facilities.

That's something we've wanted to challenge at Meadowfield.

Since taking over the business and relaunching it as Meadowfield Auto Centre, we've continually looked for opportunities to raise standards. Some of those improvements happen behind the workshop doors through better equipment, processes and training. Others are immediately visible to customers.

Our new reception is one of them.

We've redesigned the space to create a welcoming and professional first impression, with a comfortable area for customers who need to wait while work is carried out on their vehicle.

It's a relatively simple idea: the standard of the reception should match the standard we're aiming for in the workshop.

Continually investing in Meadowfield Auto Centre

Meadowfield Auto Centre is an independent garage and MOT testing station in Ponteland, providing vehicle maintenance for customers from Ponteland and the surrounding areas of Northumberland and Newcastle.

Our workshop provides MOT testing, car servicing, mechanical repairs, tyres, brakes, clutches, diagnostics and general vehicle maintenance across a wide range of makes and models.

But the service a customer receives isn't defined by a single repair.

It starts when they make contact with the garage and continues through booking, vehicle drop-off, inspection and diagnosis, communication about any work required, completion of the repair and collection of the vehicle.

That's why we're continuing to invest in more than tools and workshop equipment.

The customer experience matters too.

One of the things we're determined to demonstrate at Meadowfield is what a modern independent garage can be.

Customers should be able to benefit from the personal service and accessibility of a local independent business while still expecting professional premises, modern equipment, experienced technicians, clear communication and high standards of vehicle maintenance.

Our reception refurbishment is another part of that.

There will always be things we can improve, and that's exactly how we want it to be. Rather than considering Meadowfield a finished product, we're continually looking at the business and asking what we can do better.

Sometimes that's a major investment.

Sometimes it's a change to the way we work.

And sometimes it's simply noticing one of the smaller details that could make a customer's experience better.

Being based in Ponteland is an important part of Meadowfield Auto Centre.

We're not a national fast-fit chain or a main dealer. We're a locally owned independent garage serving the community around us, and our reputation depends on the experience customers have when they trust us with their vehicles.
