Air Conditioning Comes to Ponteland!
Meadowfield Auto Centre invests in R134a air-conditioning servicing equipment, bringing another service to our newly opened Ponteland garage.
It's another new service at Meadowfield Auto Centre!
From 6 July 2017, we're now able to offer vehicle air-conditioning servicing and re-gassing here in Ponteland, following our latest investment in specialist workshop equipment.
We've purchased our own R134a air-conditioning service machine, allowing us to carry out air-conditioning servicing on compatible vehicles here at our workshop on Meadowfield Industrial Estate.
And given that it's July, the timing couldn't be better.
Car air-conditioning servicing in Ponteland
Air conditioning is fitted to an increasing number of vehicles, but like other systems on a car, it requires maintenance.
Over time, an air-conditioning system can lose refrigerant and its cooling performance can deteriorate. If you've noticed that your car's air conditioning isn't getting as cold as it used to, it may be time to have the system checked.
Our new equipment allows us to work with R134a refrigerant, which is used in the air-conditioning systems of many cars on the road today.
Rather than having to send this work elsewhere, it's another service we can now provide here at Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland.
More than simply putting gas in
Air-conditioning servicing isn't just a case of adding more refrigerant.
Using dedicated air-conditioning equipment allows the system to be serviced in a controlled way, recovering the existing refrigerant before the appropriate service procedure is carried out and the system is recharged to the correct specification.
And if there's a problem with the system, simply repeatedly adding refrigerant isn't the answer.
Our approach is the same as it is with the rest of the vehicle: find out what's happening and advise the customer appropriately rather than replacing or selling something that isn't needed.
Another investment in our new workshop
It's only been six months since Meadowfield Auto Centre opened in Ponteland on 3 January 2017, but we're already continuing to develop what we can offer.
Earlier this year we invested in new Bradbury/GEMCO tyre changing and wheel balancing equipment, giving us the capability to fit and balance wheels up to 23 inches.
Now we've added dedicated R134a air-conditioning equipment.
For us, building Meadowfield isn't simply about opening the doors and leaving the workshop as it is.
It's about continuing to invest in the equipment and capabilities that allow us to look after more of our customers' vehicles locally.
Tyres were one step.
Air conditioning is the next.
And there will be plenty more to come.
