Ellie Takes on 100 Miles in October for Breast Cancer Now

This October, Meadowfield Auto Centre’s Ellie is swapping some of her time at the garage for her walking shoes as she takes on a 100-mile challenge in support of Breast Cancer Now.

Over the course of October, Ellie will be walking a total of 100 miles, raising money to support Breast Cancer Now and the important work the charity does for people affected by breast cancer.

100 Miles in 31 Days

One hundred miles across October works out at more than three miles every single day — so there are plenty of miles ahead!

Ellie will be fitting the challenge around work at Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland and family life, gradually clocking up the distance throughout the month.

The whole Meadowfield team will be behind her, and we'll be keeping track as she works towards the 100-mile finish line.

Supporting Breast Cancer Now

Breast Cancer Now funds breast cancer research while also providing information and support to people affected by the disease.

It's a cause that affects an enormous number of people and their families, and Ellie wanted to use the challenge as an opportunity to do something positive while raising money and awareness along the way.

Every mile completed during October will take her a little closer to that 100-mile target — and hopefully help add a little more to the fundraising total too.
