Meadowfield Auto Centre named finalist in Top Garage award

A Northumberland garage is in the running for another national title after being named a finalist in a UK-wide awards scheme.

Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland is one of 10 businesses to reach the final in the 4–6 Employees category at the Top Garage Awards 2026.

The announcement continues an

year for Meadowfield Auto Centre, which has already been named Runner-up for Best Single Site Garage at the Automechanika Garage of the Year Awards 2026 and a finalist for Garage of the Year – Best Single Site at the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2026.

Stephen Browne, owner of Meadowfield Auto Centre, said: "This one means a lot to us because Top Garage looks at the business from a slightly different angle.

"We've been incredibly fortunate to receive recognition from several major industry awards, and each one looks at excellence in its own way.

"Top Garage tests different parts of what we do and gives us another opportunity to demonstrate the standards we've worked hard to build at Meadowfield."

The competition takes garages through a series of stages designed to test their knowledge, processes, business practices and approach to running a modern independent workshop.

Meadowfield Auto Centre will compete in the final on November 14 at the Delphi Academy in Warwick.

The latest success comes as the business prepares to mark 10 years under the current ownership on December 16.
