Meadowfield Backs a Winner at Otterburn

It's been quite a first year for Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland — and we've now got a rally win to celebrate too.

Meadowfield was proud to sponsor the Ford Fiesta rally car co-driven by Andrew Roughead at the Otterburn Ranges in Northumberland, with the crew going on to take victory.

For a business built around cars, getting involved with local motorsport seemed a pretty natural fit.

Getting our name onto a rally car was exciting enough.

Seeing it win was even better.

From Meadowfield Industrial Estate to the Otterburn Ranges

We opened Meadowfield Auto Centre at the beginning of 2017, providing MOT testing, car servicing and vehicle repairs from our garage on Meadowfield Industrial Estate in Ponteland, Northumberland.

Our everyday work might be very different from preparing a competition car for a rally stage, but there's plenty about motorsport that we can relate to.

Cars, engineering, mechanical knowledge and the importance of getting the details right are what our team works with every day.

That's why we were delighted to put the Meadowfield Auto Centre name behind Andrew and the Ford Fiesta.

A winning Ford Fiesta

The Otterburn Ranges provide one of the North East's most distinctive motorsport venues, with closed-road tarmac stages across the military training area in Northumberland.

With Andrew Roughead in the co-driver's seat, the Meadowfield-sponsored Ford Fiesta came away with the result everyone wanted:

a win.

It's a fantastic result for the crew and everyone involved with the car, and we're incredibly pleased to have played our own small part through Meadowfield's sponsorship.

Supporting motorsport in our first year

Meadowfield Auto Centre may still be a relatively new name in Ponteland, but the motor trade and motoring itself are at the heart of what we do.

We're an independent garage in Ponteland, looking after customers' everyday vehicles with MOT testing, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.

Supporting a rally car gives us an opportunity to celebrate a very different side of motoring.

It also puts the Meadowfield name alongside a sport built around engineering, teamwork, preparation and performance — things we're rather fond of ourselves.

Not bad for our first year.
