Meadowfield Launches 10th Anniversary Keyrings to Support Ponteland United Youth Teams

2026 is a special year for Meadowfield Auto Centre.

This December will mark ten years since Stephen Browne took over the garage in Ponteland, beginning the journey that would become Meadowfield Auto Centre as it is today.

We wanted to do something small to mark the milestone – but rather than simply producing something for ourselves, we thought it would be better if our anniversary could help support something local too.

So in July 2026, we launched our limited Meadowfield Auto Centre 10th Anniversary keyrings, with proceeds going to support Ponteland United's youth football teams.

Ten years of Meadowfield

Stephen took over the garage on Meadowfield Industrial Estate in December 2016, with Meadowfield Auto Centre opening its doors under its new identity in January 2017.

A lot has happened since.

The workshop has grown, the team has developed, we've continually invested in new equipment and services, and Meadowfield has gone on to receive recognition from across the UK automotive industry.

But throughout all of that, Ponteland has remained home.

Many of the people we see at the garage aren't simply customers. They're people we see around the village, parents from local schools, members of local clubs, neighbouring businesses and families whose cars we've looked after for years.

So when it came to celebrating ten years, keeping something within the community felt right.

Supporting Ponteland United

Our relationship with Ponteland United isn't new.

Back in 2023, Meadowfield Auto Centre sponsored Ponteland United Zebras Under-9s, supporting one of the club's junior teams for the season.

Three years later, as Meadowfield approaches its tenth anniversary, we're supporting the club's young players again.

Proceeds from our anniversary keyrings will go towards Ponteland United's youth teams, helping grassroots football in the community in which Meadowfield has spent the last decade building its business.

For us, it's a simple idea.

A little reminder of ten years of Meadowfield – and a little something back into Ponteland.

Celebrating a local independent business

The tenth anniversary gives us an opportunity to look back at just how much has changed.

When Meadowfield opened in 2017, one of our first investments was new tyre fitting and balancing equipment. Air-conditioning servicing followed that summer.

Since then we've invested in our MOT facilities, emissions testing equipment, EV charging, computerised four-wheel alignment and, most recently, dynamic automatic gearbox servicing.

We've supported local events and organisations, sponsored grassroots football and documented some of Ponteland's own motoring history.

And we've been fortunate enough to receive regional and national recognition along the way.

None of it would have happened without the customers who have chosen a small independent garage in Ponteland to look after their vehicles.

Our anniversary keyrings are only a little thing.

But they represent something we're enormously proud of:

ten years of Meadowfield Auto Centre – and ten years as part of the Ponteland community.
