Meadowfield Returns to the Ponteland Duck Race 2017

After getting involved for the first time in 2017, Meadowfield Auto Centre is back at the Ponteland Duck Race for 2018.

Now in our second year as an independent garage in Ponteland, we're really pleased to once again support one of the village's best-known annual community events.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Ponteland, the Ponteland Duck Race brings hundreds of local families together in Ponteland Park for an afternoon of racing, entertainment and fundraising for good causes.

And after taking part last year, we weren't going to miss it.

Back for another year in Ponteland Park

Meadowfield Auto Centre opened under its new name in January 2017, following Stephen Browne's takeover of the long-established garage site on Meadowfield Industrial Estate in Ponteland.

During our first year we wanted Meadowfield to become more than simply somewhere local motorists visited when their car needed an MOT, service or repair.

We're a local independent business, and being involved with the community around us is important.

The Ponteland Duck Race gave us a brilliant opportunity to do exactly that in 2017, so returning for the 2018 event was an easy decision.

Supporting our local community

Most of our time is spent looking after cars.

From MOT testing and car servicing to vehicle repairs and general maintenance, our workshop serves motorists from Ponteland, Darras Hall and the surrounding areas.

But Meadowfield is also part of the wider Ponteland business community.

Events such as the Duck Race bring together local residents, families, organisations and independent businesses while raising money for worthwhile causes.

The 2018 event proved another successful year, with the Ponteland Rotary Duck Race raising nearly £3,000 for good causes and hundreds of families enjoying the event in Ponteland Park.

For Meadowfield, supporting events like this is simply part of being a local business.

Meadowfield Auto Centre – proudly independent, proudly Ponteland

We're still only at the beginning of the Meadowfield story.

A lot has changed since we opened at the start of 2017, and there's plenty more we want to do as we continue developing the garage.

But one thing we don't want to change is our connection with the place we call home.

Meadowfield Auto Centre is an independent garage in Ponteland, providing MOT testing, servicing and vehicle repairs from our workshop on Meadowfield Industrial Estate.

We're proud to serve the local community every working day.

And every now and then, we're just as happy to swap cars for ducks.

Great to be back, Ponteland. 🦆
