Motor Trader Names Meadowfield's Ellessie Browne as 2025 Women in Motor Industry Awards Finalist

Ellessie Browne of Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland has been named by Motor Trader as a finalist in the Inspiring Returner category at the 2025 Women in Motor Industry Awards.

Motor Trader has announced the finalists for its 2025 Women in Motor Industry Awards, with Meadowfield Auto Centre's Ellessie Browne shortlisted for the Inspiring Returner Award.

Ellie is one of four finalists nationally in the category, which recognises women who have successfully returned to the motor industry following a career break, demonstrating resilience and determination.

The shortlist places Ellie alongside women from businesses across the UK automotive industry and represents a particularly meaningful milestone following her return to Meadowfield Auto Centre.

Ellie joined Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland in 2020, following a career within the BMW and MINI dealer network. After suffering a serious illness in late 2022, she spent an extended period away from work before returning to the independent garage in late 2023.

Since returning, Ellie has once again become an important part of the day-to-day operation and continued development of Meadowfield Auto Centre.

To now have that journey recognised nationally by Motor Trader and the Women in Motor Industry Awards is something the whole Meadowfield team is incredibly proud of.

The Inspiring Returner Award winner will be announced at the 2025 Women in Motor Industry Awards.

Whatever the result, being selected as one of just four national finalists is already a fantastic achievement.
