New Tyre Equipment Arrives at Meadowfield Auto Centre
Investing in new Bradbury/GEMCO tyre fitting and wheel balancing equipment to offer tyre replacement for wheels up to 23 inches in Ponteland.
It's only been a matter of weeks since we opened the doors at Meadowfield Auto Centre, but we're already investing in the equipment we need to expand what we can offer motorists in Ponteland.
In February 2017, we've added a new Bradbury/GEMCO tyre changing machine and wheel balancer to the workshop at Meadowfield Industrial Estate.
The new equipment allows us to fit and balance tyres on wheels up to 23 inches, meaning we can accommodate a much wider range of cars and wheel sizes here at the garage.
Tyre fitting in Ponteland
Modern vehicles are increasingly being fitted with larger alloy wheels, particularly higher-specification cars, SUVs and performance models.
Having the right equipment matters.
Our investment in new tyre fitting and balancing machinery means customers can now come to Meadowfield Auto Centre in Ponteland for replacement tyres alongside the servicing, repairs and MOT work already carried out at the garage.
Rather than simply adding tyres to a list of services, we've invested in dedicated workshop equipment to do the job properly.
Tyre fitting and wheel balancing up to 23 inches
The new equipment gives us the capability to remove and replace tyres on wheels up to 23 inches in diameter, followed by wheel balancing before the wheel is refitted to the vehicle.
Correct wheel balancing is important whenever tyres are replaced. An incorrectly balanced wheel can result in vibration through the vehicle, particularly at higher speeds, as well as potentially contributing to uneven tyre wear.
By bringing both tyre changing and balancing equipment into the workshop, the complete job can be carried out here at Meadowfield.
Investing in Meadowfield from the beginning
Meadowfield Auto Centre officially opened in January 2017, following Stephen Browne's takeover of the garage in December 2016.
From the outset, the intention has been to continually invest in the workshop and gradually expand what we're able to offer.
The arrival of our new Bradbury/GEMCO tyre changer and wheel balancer is one of the first major equipment investments under the Meadowfield Auto Centre name.
It gives us another important workshop capability and allows us to provide a more complete service for motorists in Ponteland, Darras Hall and the surrounding Northumberland area.
Whether it's a replacement tyre, wheel balancing, an MOT, servicing or mechanical repairs, our aim is to make Meadowfield a garage local motorists can rely upon for more of their vehicle maintenance.
